MORNING How To Talk Refresher
This is a two hour workshop during which all of the skills covered throughout the 6 week "How To Talk" course will be revised. But revision of the skills is only one goal of this workshop. Another, equally important, goal is to enable the participants to share with each other their successes and failures, demonstrate what worked for them and what has not and to draw upon the support of other parents.

MORNING Race To Nowhere Screening
Race To Nowhere is a ground-breaking US film that closely considers the pressures our children face today arising from school, homework, tutoring and extracurricular activities.
Our children no longer have time to play, to discover passions, to rest, to make mistakes, to reflect and internalise and to build the resilience needed for a balanced and healthy adulthood.
Often our children become physically sick, depressed and disillusioned from all the stress they are under. Such stress hinders their development and engagement with learning. Sometimes the build-up of this stress results in horrible tragedies through suicide.
The films is designed to raise the awareness among parents, grandparents, teachers, students, administrators, doctors, psychologists, university professors, admissions officers and business leaders and help them consider ways to protect the children's health and well-being.
During the follow-on discussion we will consider what we can do in our homes and our classrooms and beyond in order to help our children to learn for themselves and love learning.
